As youth who are activators of development in our
communities, we have seen a vital need on passing message to stop the spread of
COVID-19 and other pandemic diseases which are transmitted by hands under the
slogan of “Mkono Wangu, Afya Yangu” which means “MY HAND, MY HEALTH”. Basically,
we focus on ensuring that people are rescued from the disease through washing
their hands by using Kidumu Chirizi (Tippy Tap). We believe that if we still
use hands to open and close taps before and after and washing our hands,
obviously the spread of viruses and germs like COVID-19 will keep on persisting

be washed without touching tap or soap and hence preventing contamination that
could lead into the spread of COVID-19 and other bacteria. Thus, the tippy taps
will be of the best help to our communities and in particular the places which
are crowded or people have frequently moved such as bus stands,
churches/mosques, Schools, universities and colleges, Hospitals, public
offices, markets and other related places where people are still in move for
their day to day social, economic, political and religious services.
Furthermore, after blowing off of COVID-19 we are assured that people will be
sustained with this hygienic behaviour that has been imparted in them through
advanced Kidumu Chirizi project hence keep on using the same tippy taps to
protect themselves from bacteria and viruses that are harmful to our health and
for the betterment of our lives at large.
